Nepal congratulates Azerbaijan on progress in normalizing relations with Armenia

Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba congratulated Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on the achievements in the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan.

Report informs, citing the press release by the Azerbaijani MFA following the phone conversation between the two ministers, that the Nepali minister congratulated Azerbaijan on the historic agreements reached at the trilateral summit in the United States on August 8, as well as on the progress in the normalization process with Armenia.

The ministers expressed satisfaction with the intensification of high-level political contacts between the two countries in recent years. They also noted with satisfaction the visit of Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel to Azerbaijan within the framework of COP29 in November last year.

The sides also discussed the development of bilateral and multilateral ties, the current state and prospects of cooperation in the trade, economic, tourism, humanitarian, and other spheres. They positively assessed cooperation within international organizations, including within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, and emphasized the importance of strengthening mutual support in multilateral formats.
