Azerbaijan, Moldova mull prospects of co-op in judicial and legal systems

Prospects of cooperation on judicial and legal systems of Azerbaijan and Moldova were discussed, Report informs, citing the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan.

As reported, the delegation headed by Acting Prosecutor General of Moldova Ion Munteanu, visited the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Inam Karimov greeted the guests and expressed his satisfaction to see them in his country.

Karimov gave detailed information about the judicial and legal reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the activities of the Supreme Court.

It was reported that constant work is being done to increase the efficiency of justice in Azerbaijan, selection procedures for the position of judges are adjusted to modern standards, and advanced information technologies are used in the judicial system.

Then the perspectives of cooperation on the judicial and legal systems of the two countries were discussed and views were exchanged on issues of mutual interest.
