Azerbaijan joins initiative of UN General Assembly president

Azerbaijan has joined the initiative of the UN General Assembly on gender equality, Paulina Kubiak, spokesperson for the President of the 77th Session of the General Assembly, told the US bureau of Report.

She said that the campaign is a joint initiative of President of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, Csaba Kőrösi, and Executive Director of UN Women, Sima Bahous.

Kubiak added that the social project is aimed at promoting UN online trainings on gender equality.

Along with Azerbaijan, 34 member countries of the world organization joined the campaign.

The first stage of the initiative will last until June 30.
