Azerbaijan congratulates Portugal on National Day

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended congratulations to Portugal on its National Day.

“It is on the occasion of the national holiday we offer our most cordial congratulations to the Portuguese Republic. We seize this pleasant opportunity to wish strong health, success, and everlasting prosperity to the friendly people of Portugal,” the MFA posted on Twitter.

The day is a worldwide celebration for all Portuguese people. This year, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has been forced to cancel the public celebrations because of the pandemic.
