Azerbaijan becomes UNESCO Executive Board member

Within the framework of the 41st session of the General Conference of UNESCO, Azerbaijan was elected a member of the Executive Board of the organization, Report informs.

Azerbaijan nominated itself as a candidate from the second electoral group.

In the elections held within the framework of the 41st session of the UNESCO General Conference, Azerbaijan was elected by a majority of votes as a member of the Executive Board for 2021-2025.

Azerbaijan was also a member of the UNESCO Executive Board in 2005-2009.
