Azerbaijan appoints new ambassador to Spain 

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the appointment of Ramiz Ayvaz Hasanov as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Spain.

Hasanov was born on August 20, 1961, in Marneuli, Georgia. In 1983, he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

1990-1992 - Foreign Economic Relations Commission at the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan
1993-1997 - Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Azerbaijan

2004-2005 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Georgia
2005-2008 – Director-General of State Agency on Standardization, Metrology, and Patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan
2008-2018 - Chairman of State Committee on Standardization, Metrology, and Patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan
