Issues of international legal cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have been discussed during a meeting with a delegation led by Professor Noura bint Zaid Al-Rashoud, Executive Director of the OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC), at the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan on Thursday, Report informs.
At the meeting, Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court, provided information about the activities of the institution he leads. It was noted that the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan cooperates with the constitutional courts of many countries within the framework of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of the Islamic World, which is a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Speaking about the 44-day Patriotic War, it was emphasized that under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the legal force of the Constitution of Azerbaijan has been restored in the liberated territories.
Abdullayev highly appreciated the report prepared in connection with the fact-finding mission carried out by the OIC IPHRC delegation during their visit to the historical Azerbaijani lands liberated from occupation on September 23-25, 2021.
