Azerbaijan and Greece mull bilateral and multilateral relations

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Greek MP Dimitris Avramopoulos on the sidelines of the 12th Global Baku Forum, Report informs, citing MFA.
The meeting discussed Azerbaijan-Greece bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as regional and international security issues.
The meeting emphasized the role of events such as the Global Baku Forum in combating global challenges.
The representation of Greece at the level of the prime minister at COP29 held in Azerbaijan last year was recalled with satisfaction, stating that such high-level contacts contribute to mutual dialogue.
It was noted that there are prospects for cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas, including economy, trade, energy security, tourism, and humanitarian areas.
It was emphasized that Azerbaijan is one of the important partners in ensuring Europe's energy security, and the significance of the implemented projects, especially the Southern Gas Corridor, in energy cooperation was stated.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
