Following Russia's military intervention in Ukraine, Azerbaijan is in the top ten of Georgia's most coveted political and economic partners, Report informs, citing the results of a poll carried out by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Georgia.
So, 13% of respondents believe that the country should establish closer political cooperation with Azerbaijan. According to 17% of respondents, Georgia should have the closest economic cooperation with Azerbaijan.
42% of respondents said they wanted the EU as the closest political partner of Georgia, while 35% preferred the United States and 17% - Turkiye. As the main economic partner, 40% of respondents mentioned the EU, 28% the United States and 26% Turkiye.
According to the respondents, Georgia should restrict its relations with Russia.
2,024 respondents took part in the survey conducted from March 9 to 20.
