Azerbaijan among Georgia's biggest exporters

Azerbaijan has become one of the largest exporters of Georgia, the National Statistical Service of Georgia reports.

Report informs citing the Georgian media that, according to the information, the share of the ten largest exporting countries amounted to 79.6% in the total export volume of Georgia in January-July 2022. The top three exporters included China ($475.6 million), Azerbaijan ($351.5 million) and Russia ($339.1 million).

In this period, foreign trade turnover amounted to $10,188.1 million, which is 35.3% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

According to preliminary data, the share of exports amounted to $3,100.7 million (36.4% more), and the share of imports amounted to $7,087.4 million (34.8% more). Georgia's negative trade balance in January-July 2022 amounted to $3,986.7 million (39.1% of foreign trade turnover).
