Assistant to President comments on UN inactivity regarding Azerbaijan since end of conflict

No activity has been done by the UN and its sub-institutions regarding Azerbaijan since the end of the conflict, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, told journalists in Shusha, Report informs.

According to him, the UN leadership has not visited the region since the end of the conflict: "The UN leadership had to visit the region in the post-conflict period and appreciate the implementation of the Security Council resolutions. Unfortunately, just as the resolutions of the UN Security Council remained on the table for 30 years, we do not observe any serious action by the UN leadership in this matter."

The assistant to the President stressed that Azerbaijan has already become accustomed to this attitude: "There is no "Marshall plan" in relation to Azerbaijan. Maybe the people of Azerbaijan and the state do not want it in the form they will present. We have our own national resources. But examples of solidarity are important here. For example, the brotherly support of Turkiye, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, proposals on the school project in Fuzuli, and other projects exemplify solidarity and brotherhood. Such steps are also positively evaluated by Azerbaijan."
