There are fraternal countries before our eyes. They fight despite sharing a common language and religion. What we do is an example to the world. Our brotherhood is also an example for our brotherly countries in Central Asia, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said in an interview with the Turkish media.
According to Hajiyev, the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye is very important not only for the Turkic world but also for the whole world: “We have created an unprecedented fraternal union in the world.”
Hajiyev noted that the Shusha Declaration, signed by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is of political, geopolitical, and symbolic importance.
“The Declaration stemmed from the wills of the peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkiye and turned our alliance into a law that bonds the two countries forever,” Hajiyev added.
