Ankara welcomes Hungary's application for membership in Turkic Investment Fund

Türkiye welcomes Hungary's application for membership in the Turkic Investment Fund, Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz said during his speech at the Informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Shusha, Report informs.

Yilmaz recalled that the first meeting of the board of directors of the Turkic Investment Fund was held in Istanbul on May 18, 2024, which is an indicator of the desire of the countries of the Turkic world to strengthen relations.

He expressed confidence that the investment fund will make an important contribution to the economic development of the OTS countries.

Yilmaz also noted that the historic Shusha Declaration, signed on June 15, 2021, is an important document that has contributed to further strengthening relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

He emphasized with satisfaction the significant pace of restoration work in Shusha. "The picture we see makes us proud. Karabakh is Azerbaijan, and it will remain Azerbaijan," Yilmaz said.
