Qatari Ambassador: We are considering cancellation of visa regime with Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan and Qatar are considering cancellation of visa regime for the citizens of both countries, newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Azerbaijan Republic Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Abdullah Al Henzab told Report.

"We are now considering this issue. As you know, Azerbaijan is a very attractive destination among Qatari tourists. And the cancellation of the visa regime will contribute to an increase in the number of Qatari citizens coming to Azerbaijan, " he said.

The ambassador also noted that Azerbaijan and Qatar enjoy very close political and economic relations. 

"We have launched a joint commission that will work on commercial issues, trade, investment, etc. We have a lot of common aspirations. Our cooperation will expand. I am very optimistic in this respect. I believe that Azerbaijan deserves the best, and that Azerbaijan is a leading country in the region, " the ambassador said.
