Ambassador: Morocco, Azerbaijan are working towards strengthening relations

Morocco and Azerbaijan are working towards strengthening relations, Adil Embarch, the Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan, said at the event held on the occasion of the Throne Day commemorating the day of the accession of King Mohammed VI to the throne, Report informs.

Embarch recalled that the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Azerbaijan was celebrated in August last year. "For the past 30 years, Morocco and Azerbaijan have been working together to strengthen political, economic, cultural relations, and develop mutual understanding and cooperation," he said.

The diplomat emphasized that several high-level visits have been made between the two countries in 2022. Thus, the President (Speaker) of the House of Representatives of Morocco, Rachid Talbi Alami, visited Azerbaijan and invited the Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Ghafarova, to visit Morocco.

According to the ambassador, political consultations with the Azerbaijani delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev were held in Rabat.
