Ambassador: Kazakhstan fully supports Azerbaijan's COP29 presidency

Kazakhstan fully supports Azerbaijan's COP29 presidency and will actively participate in this important event, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel told an event held in Baku on the occasion of Kazakhstan's Republic Day, Report informs.

Bayel noted that during the upcoming COP29 summit, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan will officially launch a new project for the transportation of green energy from Central Asia to Europe via Azerbaijan.

"The volume of cargo transported through the Middle Corridor is increasing. We will soon begin laying a fiber-optic cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea. This is the most important segment of the digital telecommunications corridor between East and West," Bayel said.

The ambassador also expressed hope that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will continue to expand and strengthen. "Regular visits by heads of state are proof of the development of relations between Baku and Astana," Bayel concluded.
