Ambassador: Development of industrial cooperation between Baku and Tashkent is crucial

The development of industrial cooperation has emerged as a top priority in the partnership between Baku and Tashkent, according to Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Bahrom Ashrafkhanov.

Report informs that speaking at an event titled "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation," jointly organized by the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center ) of Azerbaijan and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ambassador Ashrafkhanov highlighted the historic document establishing allied relations between the two nations, which was signed during President Aliyev's state visit to Uzbekistan.

The ambassador also emphasized the close collaboration between the two countries, as evidenced by the 11 twin cities they share.

Underlining the strategic importance of their partnership, Ambassador Ashrafkhanov noted that Azerbaijan serves as a bridge for Uzbekistan to Europe, while Uzbekistan can act as a gateway for Azerbaijan to Asia.

Looking ahead, the ambassador reminded that 2025 has been designated as the Year of Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
