Ali Asadov meets President of ICAO Council

On June 7, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Salvatore Sciacchitano, Report informs, citing the Cabinet of Ministers.

At the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on the work done in the development of civil aviation and aviation security in Azerbaijan.

It was stressed that the ICAO highly appreciates the compliance of aviation security standards in Azerbaijan with the organization’s standards.

Noting that the airports put into operation in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories are included in the ICAO catalog, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of building international airports in these regions from the point of view of tourism development.
