France is not interested in the development and prosperity of Saint Martin island, Yadiska Van Richele, a member of the organization "One Island, One People, One Destiny," said in response to Report's question.
"We hear many stories about how our island's youth goes to France for education and job searching, as there are no guarantees they will find their place at home since the metropole doesn't create jobs here," she said.
Richele noted that the global community can learn about the activities of the organization she represents which is supported by the Baku Initiative Group. "And then it (the international community) will be able to help the island in gaining independence," the activist emphasized.
