About 2,000 refugees, asylum seekers live in Azerbaijan

Currently, about 2,000 refugees and asylum seekers live in the territory of Azerbaijan, 76 of them are registered with the State Migration Service (SMS) and the others are registered with the UNHCR Azerbaijan office, Report informs, citing SMS.
A total of 14,202 residence permits were issued to Turkish citizens in 2022.
Foreigners and stateless persons can apply for "refugee" status in Azerbaijan in accordance with the national legislation and international documents that Azerbaijan supports.
