6th plenary session of GlobE Network concludes in Baku

The sixth plenary session of the UN Global Operational Network against Corruption - GlobE Network, which has been held in Baku for three days, has concluded,

Report informs that the event was dedicated to strengthening international cooperation against corruption and implementing new approaches.

Representatives from more than 120 government agencies from 92 countries participated in the session, and more than 100 presentations were made across more than 20 panel discussions.

Within the framework of the event, more than 100 bilateral meetings were held between representatives of various countries, including Azerbaijan. During these meetings, organized to promote cooperation, exchange experiences, and foster development in various fields, proposals and perspectives of participating countries were discussed.

At the closing ceremony, Deputy Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Nazim Rajabov spoke, stating that the GlobE Network is a very important platform for strengthening international cooperation in the fight against corruption. He noted that such events ensure the exchange of experience and strengthening of trust between states, emphasizing that the Azerbaijani state will continue its active participation in this platform and contribute to strengthening the global fight.

At the same time, Deputy Prosecutor General Heydar Mammadov noted the country's determination in the fight against corruption and the progress made in global cooperation. He also announced that in 2026, the city of Baku will host a high-level meeting of anti-corruption law enforcement agencies of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
