Prospects of Azerbaijan–Russia economic cooperation discussed in Astrakhan

The 23rd session of the Azerbaijan–Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Astrakhan.

According to Report, citing the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Vice Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.

Before the meeting, a closed-door session took place between the co-chairs of the commission, Shahin Mustafayev and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk. This was followed by a plenary session attended by heads and authorized representatives of relevant state bodies from both countries.

The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijani–Russian economic cooperation across various sectors, reviewing joint projects in investment, industry, transport, transit, and other areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the vice prime ministers of both countries signed the protocol of the 23rd session of the intergovernmental commission.

Following the official proceedings, Shahin Mustafayev met with Astrakhan Governor Igor Babushkin, exchanging views on expanding trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region.
