14th plenary session of Asian Parliamentary Assembly kicks off in Baku

The 14th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) has opened in Baku, Report informs.

The meeting is dedicated to strengthening regional cooperation for sustainable development in Asia.

The event is attended by parliamentary delegations from about 40 states, including about 10 speakers.

During the session, meetings of committees on political, economic, budgetary, social and cultural issues will be organized. Following the session, the Baku Declaration and the final report of the APA will be adopted.

The plenary session will end on February 24.

In November 2023, at a meeting of the executive council in Antalya, Azerbaijan was elected chair country of the APA for 2024-2025.
