Iran football team goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand will likely miss the match against Wales in Group B of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Report informs, citing local media.
He was rushed to hospital after colliding with his teammate Majid Hosseini in the match against England.
Beiranvand was stretchered off the field of play and has now been revealed to have suffered a "serious concussion."
Iran coach Carlos Queiroz revealed the 30-year-old had sustained a broken nose from the incident.
Notably, England defeated Iran 6-2.
