UEFA EURO 2020: Acceptable number of fans for matches in Baku defined

At a joint meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan and the local organizing committee of EURO 2020, taking into account the recommendations of UEFA and the current pandemic situation in Baku, it was decided to allow 50 percent of fans to each match, Report informs.

Fans can attend matches at the Baku Olympic Stadium (with a capacity of 68,700 spectators), subject to appropriate procedures related to COVID-19.

This decision applies not only to local fans, but also to foreign citizens of those countries whose national teams will play at the European Championship (subject to the relevant requirements for obtaining visas).

All the necessary information on this matter has been transferred to UEFA. In the near future, the public will be informed in more detail about the procedures applied to fans willing to watch the Baku UEFA EURO 2020.

Baku will host three Group A matches and one UEFA EURO 2020 quarterfinals.
