Former Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is set to return to the Dutch national team and replace Louis van Gaal once the 2022 World Cup in Qatar has concluded, Report informs, citing foreign media.
The two parties have already reached an agreement, which will see Koeman be in charge of the Netherlands until the 2026 World Cup.
A couple of days ago, current Netherlands head coach Van Gaal revealed that he is currently battling prostate cancer.
Koeman left the Dutch national team in August 2020 to take over at Barcelona, who fired him earlier this season following some disappointing results.
