"We will take a long trip en route Baku-Rome-Baku. But there is no ground for concern. It can not be an excuse in any case," said Vladimir Petković, head coach of the national team of Switzerland which will take part in Euro-2020 within Group A together with the national teams of Italy, Switzerland and Wales.
According to Report, the 56-year-old specialist noted that Italy is a favorite among the four teams: "This is an amazing group of strong rivals. But we are strong enough and have a chance to advance. Certainly, this is our goal. Italy is a favorite in the group. The three other teams will probably vie for the second place."
Notably, Wales and Switzerland will play at the Baku Olympic Stadium on June 13, under the Euro-2020 calendar. On June 17, Turkey will meet Wales and on June 21, Switzerland will encounter Turkey in Baku. Moreover, one of the matches of the 1/4 final will also be held in Baku. Petković's team will face Italy in Rome on June 14.
