Striker Felipe Diogo was shot dead on Tuesday evening in Ribeirao Preto, in the interior of Sao Paulo, Report informs via NewsBeezer.
The player was 21 years old and played for Sao Bernardo, where he took part in the Paulistao and Brazilian Serie C campaigns.
The athlete was on vacation in Ribeirão Preto, his hometown. According to witnesses who reported to the military police, Felipe was on Rua Tabatinga in Jardim Jandaia, North Zone, and had been hit by about ten shots.
He was taken to UPA Norte’s Simioni emergency room but did not survive his injuries.
