Baku. 30 September. REPORT.AZ/ Player of German FC Fortuna, Tuğrul Erat again aims to return to the Azerbaijan national team.

Report informs, the 25-year-old midfielder said in an interview with the RP-Online.

He said that he was not summoned to the Azerbaijani national team after appointment of Robert Prosinečki: "My grandmother and great grandmother have ties with Azerbaijan. When Bernhard Lippert managed Azerbaijani U-21, he said that the team wants to involve me. I gave a positive reply. I was often summoned to the team when Berti Vogts coached the national, which stopped after his resignation. I will try to get invitation from Robert Prosinečki".

Notably, Tuğrul Erat was called to the Azerbaijani U-21 in 2013 for the first time. The next year, he was called to the first team and played in 2 games. Erat's debut under Berti Vogts's management was against the Philippines in Dubai, UAE on March 5, 2014, which ended 1:0.
