New head coach of Spanish national team unveiled

Baku. 13 June. REPORT.AZ/ Former footballer of Real Madrid, Fernando Hierro has been appointed as a Head coach of the Spanish national team.

Report informs, 50-year-old specialist has substituted Julen Lopetegui in this post. After Lopetegui’s appointment to "royal club", the Spanish Royal Football Federation has broken the treaty with him which was until 2020.

Hierro worked previously as sports director of federation. Today, he has made his first training with the national team.

Notably, The Spanish national team will compete in the same group in Portugal (June 15), Iran (June 20) and Morocco (25 June) at the World Championship in Russia.
