The 53-year-old specialist drew attention to the fact that many of the players received red card during his activity in Sumgayit FC: "We received 5 red cards in 11 games. it's too much. I appealed to the leadership because I couldn't bear it anymore. The appointment of another head coach is good for the team. I hope this step is right choice for the team."
Suleymanov denied allegations that he had bad relations with football players: "The information is untrue. We played well at the start. How is it that when you win, it was good, and when you lose, it became bad? I told all the details to the management. There was a meeting today. I came up and said that I want to leave for health reasons. This will be good for the team. I want a little rest. Then I will decide on my future career."
