French fans boycott Ligue 1 over high subscription fees

French soccer fans have initiated a boycott against DAZN, the broadcast rights holder for Ligue 1, Report informs via foreign media.

Only 300 people subscribed to DAZN just two days before the new season of the national championship begins.

The primary reason for this significant drop in interest is the high subscription cost, which stands at approximately 480 euros.

The 2024/2025 Ligue 1 season is set to commence on August 16.
