Famous Ukrainian football player dies in war

Famous Ukrainian football player Artur Gritsenko was killed in the war with Russia.

According to Report, the former defender of FC Karpaty was a soldier in the airborne assault brigade. A 44-year-old veteran football player was killed in battles in defence of Kharkiv.

Artur Gritsenko started his professional football career in Lviv. He played for the Karpaty soccer team in the Ukrainian Premier League. Later, Gritsenko played in the lower leagues.
