AFFA holds seminar on combating match-fixing

A seminar was held at the administrative building of AFFA for referees-inspectors, who have received appointments for matches of the Premier League and the first division.

As Report informs, UEFA representative for Azerbaijan Seymur Salimli made presentations "What do we need to know about the match?" and "Our goal is to protect you and our football".

At the seminar, a number of issues related to the fight against match-fixing were discussed, an exchange of experience was held. The seminar participants were presented with examples of local and international match-fixing.

The participants in the event were informed about a number of amendments to the Convention on the manipulation of sports competitions, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on physical culture and sports.
