The total amount allocated to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, overcome the associated economic difficulties, and help the population has now exceeded the US $ 13 trillion in the world, Report mentions, citing TASS.
According to Japanese business newspaper Nikkei, this amount also considers the package of measures just agreed in the US Congress to stimulate the economy in the face of a pandemic of almost 900 billion US dollars.
As Nikkei noted, the adoption of new programs to stimulate the economy leads to a swelling of public debt in the world's leading countries. According to experts, in 2021, it will reach 125% of their total GDP.
