Under the new phase of the SECO-funded Tax Reform Technical Assistance (TA), the World Bank (WB) will assist the Azerbaijani State Tax Service in developing and implementing emergency and business contingency plans to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, Report informs referring to the WB.
In 2020, SECO approved the extension of the program worth $1.6 million in the field of tax reforms. It is aimed at improving the register of taxpayers and the risk management system, as well as solving the problems of the informal economy in Azerbaijan.
Given the socio-economic impact of the pandemic, the program also includes short-term support activities for the State Tax Service.
