UK imposes sanctions against 4 Russian banks

The UK has included four Russian banks on the sanctions list - MTS Bank, St. Petersburg, UralSib and Zenit, Report informs referring to the website of the British government.
Four banks, including MTS, have also been sanctioned as part of the recent package of measures. This will further isolate Russia from the international financial system and help the UK and partners prevent sanctions from being circumvented, the document says.
The UK announced new sanctions on 24 February. In addition to these banks, the government also introduced restrictions against, in particular, the heads of Rosatom, Almaz-Antey, and others.
In total, the sanctions affected 92 individuals and legal entities.
