Turkish insurance companies to pay over $1B to quake-affected people

Turkish insurance companies will pay approximately 20 billion Turkish lira, or $1.1 billion, to people affected by the earthquake in 11 provinces of the country, the President of the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB), Atilla Benli, said, Report informs, citing foreign media sources.
According to him, on average, 49% of the real properties in the earthquake zone are insured. The highest indicator is in Diyarbakir, and the lowest is in Hatay.
