Monetary base increased in Azerbaijan

Baku. 22 January. REPORT.AZ/ In December 2015, monetary base in Azerbaijan increased by 171.2 million AZN or 2.54% and amounted to 6 901,8 million AZN on January 1, 2016.

Report informs citing the Central Bank, the monetary base in comparison with the same period of last year fell by 4 640,1 million AZN or 40,2%.

During 2015, a significant decrease observed in May and October was replaced with increase. In May an increase amounted to 2.4%, in October it was 11%. In addition, a slight increase (0.08%) were registered in November.
