The consumer price index (CPI) in South Korea rose 6.0% in June from a year earlier, reaching a 24-year high, according to the national statistical office.
Report informs, citing foreign media, that compared to the previous month, electricity prices increased by 0.1%, and prices for gas and other types of fuel rose by 2.9%.
Core inflation, excluding food and fuel prices, grew 3.9% in June compared to the same period last year.
