SOFAZ sharply increases its investments in gold

As of April 1, 2025, 25.8% of the investment portfolio of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) was allocated to gold, Report informs, citing the fund.

In the same period last year, this figure was 13.2%.

Thus, the share of gold in the portfolio has increased by almost 2 times.

As of April 1, 2025, the value of SOFAZ's investment portfolio amounted to $62.45 billion. This is $5.4 billion or 9.5% more year-on-year.
