SOFAZ's gold reserves reach 200 tons

In 2025, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) purchased 53.4 tons of gold, increasing its reserves to 200 tons, Report informs, referring to the fund.
As of January 1, 2026, gold accounted for 38.2% of SOFAZ's investment portfolio, which is 17.6 percentage points higher compared to a year earlier.
This growth was driven not only by new purchases but also by the rise in gold prices.
