SOCAR invests more than $200,000,000 in Ukrainian economy

Azerbaijan's SOCAR has invested over $200,000,000 in Ukrainian economy, Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

"Azerbaijan and Ukraine are developing relations in all spheres, including in economic sphere. Over the past years SOCAR has invested over $200,000,000 in Ukrainian economy. In the first eight months Azerbaijan ensured 92% of Ukrainian import of crude oil," Khalafov said.

He noted that the two countries enjoy many years of strong relations, which have today risen to the level of strategic partnership. Khalafov also stressed the high role of Azerbaijani Diaspora in Ukraine, promoting the strengthening and deepening of bilateral ties.

The Azerbaijani diplomat said that both countries are interacting on various international platforms, such as GUAM, UN, PACE, BSEC and so on, voicing common positions in recognition of their territorial integrity and sovereignty.
