Russian citizens lead among foreign buyers of property in Turkiye

Citizens of Russia topped the list of housing buyers in Turkiye in October, having bought 2,023 properties, Report informs, citing the Turkish National Institute of Statistics.
The Russians are followed by the citizens of Iran who acquired 498 properties in Turkiye. Meanwhile, Iraqi and Ukrainian citizens purchased 310 and 216 properties, respectively.
In total, 102,660 transactions were concluded in the Turkish real estate market in October. The share of housing sales to foreigners in their total volume amounted to 5.2%. Antalya accounted for most of the property sold to foreigners in October - 2,123 , followed by Istanbul, with 1,658 properties and the Mediterranean province of Mersin, with 490 properties.
