"Report": Money supply in a broad sense to increase in Azerbaijan

Baku. 11 April. REPORT.AZ/ Volume of money supply (M2 monetary aggregate) in Azerbaijan amounted to 9 806,5 mln AZN on July 1, 2016.

Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBAR), it is by 205,8 mln. AZN or 2,14% more than Juny1. In comparison with the same period last year it decreased by 1 185,3 mln AZN or 10,78%.

The record level of M2 monetary aggregate observed in November 2014 - 17 525,2 mln AZN and minimum level since first devaluation in January 2016 was recorded at 8 001,7 mln AZN.

The latest figure is lower by 7 718,7 mln. AZN or 44,04% than the maximum level and by 1 804,8 mln AZN or 22.55% more than the minimum level of devaluation.

Analytical group of Report forecasts decline in volume of money supply against the background of CBAR's sterilization operations and broad money supply aggregate will increase as a result of the raising dollar rate.
