Remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia more than triple

In April this year, remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia increased 3.8 times year-on-year to $9.1 million, Report's local bureau informs, citing the National Bank of Georgia.
In January-April, $27.7 million was transferred from Azerbaijan to the neighboring country, which is 3.2 times more than in the same period last year.
Remittances from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.7 million last month, and $5.5 million in the first four months.
In April, Georgia received $194.1 million (+145.4%) from abroad, while Georgia sent $25.8 million (+157.6%) abroad.
