Rahimbayli: SOFAZ's revenues from financial asset management for 2015-2024 stood at $7.2B

The total income of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) from financial asset management in 2015-2024 amounted to $7.2 billion, Toghrul Rahimbayli, head of Asset Allocation, Risk and Performance at SOFAZ Risk Management Department, said at a media briefing on investment results for 2024 and prospects for 2025, Report informs.

"From this amount, income from investments amounted to $2.7 billion in bonds, $3.5 billion in stocks, $1 billion in real estate," he said.

Rahimbayli emphasized that SOFAZ is diversifying its portfolio to increase profitability as part of its strategy.

"Despite the relatively small share of real estate and stocks (total 21% of SOFAZ's investment portfolio at the end of 2024), their contribution to total income was about 63%," he added.

Rahimbayli emphasized that the average annual return on SOFAZ's investment portfolio over the past seven years was 3%.
