According to preliminary estimates by the World Gold Council (WGC), central banks increased their gold reserves by 53.4 tons in November 2024, Report informs via Interfax.

Poland was the largest buyer of gold in November, purchasing 21 tons. Other significant buyers included Uzbekistan (9 tons), India (8.4 tons), and Kazakhstan (5.1 tons).

For the first time since April 2024, China reported an increase in gold reserves (an increase of 5 tons).

Among other buyers were Jordan (4.1 tons), Türkiye (3 tons), the Czech Republic (1.6 tons), Ghana (1.2 tons), Mongolia, and Malta (less than 1 ton each).

The main seller of gold in November 2024 was Singapore, which sold 5.2 tons.
