Platinum prices top $1,500 for first time since 2014

Platinum prices surged above $1,500 per ounce on Friday for the first time in more than a decade.
Report informs via Reuters that the metal climbed more than 2 percent during Friday’s session, extending a three-day rally that has seen it gain 5.1 percent over the previous two trading days.
The last time platinum traded above the $1,500 threshold was in July 2014.
