Perspective areas for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran announced

A delegation, which includes members of the Planning and Budget Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and representatives of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), has met with the Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev.

According to the Ministry, Shahin Mustafayev said that Azerbaijani and Iranian Presidents held 12 high-level meetings and made significant decisions during past six years.

Mustafayev gave information about favorable business and investment atmosphere of Azerbaijan and invited Iranian businessmen to benefit from the condition created in the country.

As for perspective of the cooperation, Mustafayev stressed that there are opportunities for extension of cooperation on energy, industry, agriculture, trade, small and medium business, finance, ICT, ecology, humanitarian and etc. fields.

Gholamreza Tajgardoon, Chairman of the Planning and Budget Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, underlined development of economic and trade cooperation, noted the potential for extension of relations in different fields.

Secretary of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Alireza Ashraf informed about the Chamber and emphasized the significance of links between the entrepreneurs of the two countries.

The sides exchanged opinions on economic and trade links, discussed extension of cooperation. Today, the Iranian guests will visit the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park.
